This page is an English-language courtesy translation of our cancellation and refund policy, provided for international visitors. YZ Uzman is a Turkish company and this policy is governed by Turkish consumer protection law. The Turkish version is the legally binding text and governs in the event of any discrepancy. At YZ Uzman, customer satisfaction is our priority. This policy explains the cancellation and refund terms that apply to our software, software development, and other digital services. Please read this policy carefully before purchasing a service.

1. Right of Withdrawal vs. Cancellation — An Important Distinction

2. Right of Withdrawal (Turkish Law No. 6502 — Statutory Right)

Under Turkish Law No. 6502 on the Protection of Consumers, consumers have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 (fourteen) days from the contract date, without giving any reason.

2.1. Cases Where the Right of Withdrawal Cannot Be Used (Article 15)

The right of withdrawal CANNOT be used in the following cases:

• Article 15/g: Services whose performance has begun with the consumer's approval
  → Once the Project Brief Form is approved, performance of the service is deemed to have started and the right of withdrawal ENDS.
• Article 15/ı: Products prepared specifically for the individual customer
  → Custom-designed websites, software developed specifically for the client
• Digital products already delivered and put into use (websites, software, mobile applications)
• Domain name registration: A registered domain name cannot be refunded, per ICANN rules

3. Cancellation Terms (Contractual — After the Right of Withdrawal Has Ended)

Note: The cancellation terms below apply once the right of withdrawal can no longer be used (i.e., after Project Brief Form approval).

3.1. Cancellation Before Project Start (Domain Not Yet Registered)

If the Project Brief Form has been approved but the domain has not yet been registered:

• 100% refund: The full amount paid is refunded
• Refund period: Within 14 business days of the cancellation request
• Refund method: Via the original payment method (bank account, credit card)

3.2. Cancellation After Domain Registration — IMPORTANT!

3.3. Cancellation While the Project Is In Progress (Domain Registered)

For cancellation requests made after the domain is registered and while the project is in development:

• Domain transfer: The domain is transferred to the customer free of charge (full ownership)
• Design stage (0-30% complete): After deducting the domain cost, 70% of the remaining amount is refunded
• Development stage (30-70% complete): After deducting the domain cost, 40% of the remaining amount is refunded
• Testing/launch stage (70-100% complete): Only the domain transfer is made; no refund

3.4. Cancellation After Project Completion

Once the project has been delivered and accepted by the customer:

• No refund is made
• The right of withdrawal cannot be used (digital content has been delivered)
• Revision requests are evaluated within the scope defined in the project contract

4. Payment Plans and Cancellation

Full Upfront Payment

For projects paid in full upfront, the cancellation terms above apply as-is. The refund amount is calculated based on the project's completion percentage.

Installment Payment

For projects on an installment plan:

• First installment (starting payment — 40%): Non-refundable (project setup costs)
• Second installment (design approval — 30%): Non-refundable if the design has been completed
• Third installment (project delivery — 30%): Non-refundable if the project has been delivered

5. Refund Process

How to Request a Refund

2. Request review: Your request is reviewed within 2 business days
3. Refund approval: You will be informed of the refund amount and method
4. Refund processing: Payment is refunded within 14 business days of approval

Refund Methods

• Bank transfer: To the IBAN you provide
• Credit card: Refunded to the card used for payment (bank processing time 2-8 business days)
• iyzico/PayTR: Automatic refund via the payment provider

6. Special Cases

Cancellation Initiated by YZ Uzman

If YZ Uzman cancels a project due to technical reasons, resource constraints, or unforeseen circumstances:

• 100% of the amount paid is refunded
• Any work already completed is delivered free of charge
• The refund is completed within 7 business days

Service Quality Issues

If delivered work does not meet the criteria specified in the contract:

• The right to revision is used first (2 free revisions)
• If the issue persists after revision, a partial refund is considered
• If the dispute cannot be resolved, it may be referred to the Turkish Consumer Arbitration Committee

7. Hosting and Domain Refunds

For hosting and domain services included in website packages:

• Domain: Non-refundable once registered (ICANN rules)
• Hosting: A partial refund may be issued for unused hosting months
• SSL Certificate: Non-refundable once activated

8. Subscription and Maintenance Packages

For monthly/annual maintenance and support packages:

• Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time
• No renewal occurs after the cancellation date
• No partial refund for unused time (monthly subscription model)
• For annual packages, a partial refund for unused months may be considered

9. Dispute Resolution

For disputes that may arise regarding cancellation and refunds:

• Please contact our customer service first
• If unresolved, the matter may be referred to the Turkish Consumer Arbitration Committee
• Turkish Consumer Courts have jurisdiction
